First
Lieutenant Jennifer Hahn, Family Program Director
Jennifer comes to the Family Readiness Program with great
enthusiasm. She recently graduated from her Officer Basic Course
and is assigned as a Platoon Leader with the 729th Brigade Support
Battalion at Camp Fretterd. Jennifer has been with the Maryland Army
National Guard for six years and has been vital in assisting our
soldiers with their deployments. Jennifer graduated from Towson
University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. |

FAMILY ASSISTANCE CENTER
William
(Bill) Turner, Family Assistant Center (FAC) Coordinator for Maryland
Bill has worked for the Family Program since 2001. Bill
has five years of experience working as a volunteer, Family Assistance
Center (FAC) Specialist and Family Assistance Center (FAC) Coordinator.
Bill Graduated from the University of Baltimore with a BS in Business
Administration with a major in Accounting. He has over 33 years service
with the Army and Maryland National Guard. Bill is available to
assist you and answer any question you may have.
Katherine (Katie) Jenkins, Family Readiness
Assistant for Maryland
Katie joined the Maryland Family Readiness program in
February of 2005. Katie graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in English
from the University of Maryland, College Park. She comes to the family
program with a background working for the government, at the United
States Department of Agriculture and also working with small companies.
Katie was never a part of the military, but has gained experience and
knowledge of military matters having grown up around the Maryland
National Guard. Katie is available to assist you in whatever
family issues or volunteer issues you might have, as well as answer any
questions that you may have.

Theresa (Beth) Stoddard,
Youth Program Coordinator
Beth comes to the Youth Program from working at the Family
Assistance Center in Annapolis. Prior to that, she received her
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Towson University. During her time
at Towson, she interned with the Baltimore City Circuit Court System,
Family Services. There she was an advocate in court for abused men,
women, and children. She also worked in a mental institute for
physically and sexually abused children. This past summer, she was a
counselor at the Homefront Challenge Camp. She hopes to help with
the continued growth of the Maryland National Guard Youth Program.

HAGERSTOWN FAMILY ASSISTANCE
CENTER
Joyce Pratt, Family Assistance Center
Specialist
Joyce joined the Family Assistance Center on November 1,
2007. Prior to this program Joyce worked at Anne Arundel Community
College for 6 and a half years. She served as first point of contact
for activities and processes related to public inquiries, students,
faculty and staff. She provided administrative support within the School
of Continuing Education and Professional Studies and English as a Second
Language. Also, Joyce organized and conducted orientations for students
and orientation workshops for instructors and staff. Joyce graduated in
1996 with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of San
Jose-Recoletos, Cebu Philippines. Joyce is fluent in English, Tagalog,
and Cebuano . Joyce is available to assist you in whatever family
issues you might have.

ASSISTANCE CENTER
Amy
Preston, Family Assistance Center Specialist
Amy joined the Family Program Staff in July 2004. Amy
comes to the Family Program with over 10 years volunteer experience with
the MDNG Family Program. She is married to Master Sergeant Bud Preston and they have
3 children ages 3 to 17. She has experienced first hand the challenges that
face many of today’s military families. Amy is available to assist you
and your family adapt to the ever-changing role of the Maryland National
Guard.
John
Grob, Family Program Assistant
John returns to the Family Program having 2 years of previous
experience. He comes to us with over 39 years working in the Human
Resources arena, of which 35 years were spent as a Maryland National
Guard Technician where he managed various employment and personnel
management programs. After a long career in the Maryland Air National
Guard, John retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 2004.
Scarlett Caudill,
Family Assistance Specialist
Scarlett joined the Family Program in March 2008. She has been a
volunteer for over four
years
with the Family Program and has prior service with the Navy and the
Maryland Army National Guard. She is married to SGT Robert Caudill and
has a teenage son. Scarlett is available to assist you and answer any
questions you may have.

Jeanne
Benden, Wing Family Program Coordinator
Jeanne joined the Family Program Staff in July of 2004.
Jeanne comes to the Family Program with unique knowledge and
experience. She spent four years in the USAF and two years in the
Maryland Air National Guard. With her prior service, Jeanne understands
the military “way of life” and the pressures of today’s service
members. She is married to Lieutenant Colonel Steve Benden of the Maryland Air
National Guard and the mother of four children ranging in age from 7 to
14. She knows first hand the challenges that face military families.

ANNAPOLIS FAMILY ASSISTANCE CENTER

Gilbert (Gill) Snead, Family Assistance Center
Specialist
Gil has been in this position since the fall of 2002.
Gill comes to this position with 11 years active duty Army and 27 years
in the Maryland National Guard. He also retired from the State of
Maryland, Department of Transportation after 30 years. Prior to coming
on full-time in this position, Gill was a volunteer for the Family
Assistance Program for over 15 years.
Martha
King, Family Assistance Specialist
Martha comes to Family
Program with experience first hand. She was the assistant lead
volunteer for C Company, 224th Aviation.
